Yep! And It’s a Game-Changer for Camping.
The Champion 3150W/3500W Inverter Dual Fuel runs on both gasoline and Propane. A Game-Changer for us. My girlfriend didn’t want to carry gasoline while traveling because of the odor, safety concerns and who like getting gasoline on their hands while handling it?
So a DUAL FUEL option on an inverter generator seemed the perfect solution.
The unit features among other things an electric starter AND a pull-string. Switching between gasoline and propane is seamless, and the generator starts easily with both fuels.
The Dual-Fuel generator is ready right out of the box on gasoline or propane. And it’s easy to switch fuels with a quick turn of the fuel selector switch. The inverter will run for 19 hours at 25% load when using a 20-pound propane tank. Last trip we ran ours during daylight hours for 3 to 4 hours each day. Over the course of 3 days and the needle on the gauge attached to the propane bottle barely moved.
Fuel Flexibility: The dual fuel capability offers versatility and convenience, especially in situations where fuel availability might be a concern.
Quiet Operation: At 59 dBA, it’s quieter than many other generators in its class. We had a group of 4 people having a conversation about 25′ away and it was not a problem.
Portability: The foldaway handle design and tires that never go flat makes it easy to position, which is great for campers and tailgaters.
Economy Mode: Helps conserve fuel and extend the life of the engine, and it runs a bit quieter on economy mode.
Safe for Electronics: Low THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) makes it suitable for sensitive electronics
Last time I started it up was after about two years of non-use. I had to remember the process. The on-board 12v battery was depleted but because this unit also has a pull string, I started it right up and recharged the 12v.
We love this generator and it is a reliable source of power for the travel trailer and anything else for which we need electricity.
